You might have heard stories about all sorts of people making money selling photos online and asked yourself if this is actually possible. Well, whether you believe it or not, it is possible.

For the last two years I have been making a comfortable living with nothing else but my digital camera. Starting off in this "industry" can be difficult if you have nobody on your side to help you, but it is not impossible.

The reason not everyone is making money selling photos is the lack of trust. I know it sounds weird, but hear me out!

Every man making money selling photos online has to start from the bottom. This is how I got in it, and this how a few friends of mine got in it. What you have to do when getting started is submit your photos to specialized websites, where potential buyers are willing to pay for your creations.

Whenever a person pays $3, $4 or $10 for one of your pictures, you get a well deserved commission (the website also takes a small cut). It may not sound like much, but imagine what you can make if you upload 30 photos every day.

But the unseen part of these transactions is something else. This is where the lack of trust is involved. If someone liked your photos of houses (for instance), it is very likely for you to be contacted by this private buyer and be asked to take a few pictures of a house he is trying to sell (again, just an example).

People like this are willing to spend even a few hundreds of dollars for an hour's work, simply because the profit you help them get is much bigger. It's a win-win situation!

And there are not just realtors involved. Website owners, magazines or even people passionate about diverse stuff will ask for your help, trust me! And if you consider the money you get from specialized websites more attractive than the money you can make working for someone, you might lose a few good opportunities.

And there is nothing wrong in this, either! It is actually better to stick to a steady income of $2000 per month than risk a set of good photos. It's what everyone does in the beginning!

When it comes to complete beginners trying to make money selling photos online, I can mention my friend Jessica and her quest to making $3000 per month. She started a few months ago and already managed to make a little more than $2000 a month, so her journey is coming to an end. At Sell Your Photos, you can find a report of her progress and learn a lot from her experience.
