Seeing that I recently finished building our new home I thought I would share some insights into the design of a new home. There are many new home plans available today and limit characteristics and styles of heaven. The biggest problem with the design process is once we decided that we would build a new house human nature kicks and we want that to happen over night. The problem is that usually do not spend enough time to evaluate and consider aspects of the design of the new House. The most important thing to remember is the extra time spent at the beginning you will prevent having second thoughts, once the House. The following lists ten important things to consider when choosing a new home plan.

1. Style-I think the style of the House is the best place to start. The style of the House will connect with your choices so that its important to spend some quality time with the style you would like to live so many. Are the more modern or traditional preferences? Want a home that is similar to your neighbors? What style home will contain the best value in your neighborhood? What style will match your house style strictly internal and existing furniture? These are all questions that you need to ask yourself and your family. This was a tough question for my wife and I grew up on two sides of the country and our styles are very different.

2. the number of bedrooms-this question may seem simple and easy to answer, but worth thinking about and discuss. The simplest answer to this question should be based on your current family size and needs. You may now need a two bedroom and you need a four bedroom the road when the family grows. Or perhaps you need four bedrooms today even your children will be off to college in a few years.

3. single level vs. multilevel-if not the new home has only one layer or more really is a personal decision. Some people really enjoy single level living with no stairs to climb up and down. Some people prefer the more traditional and colonial styles of House with rooms on the second floor. Some sites are very small and anyone seeking decent floor area may only be able to build a House at multiple levels. If you think you can retire and live in your home, as you get older, the House of single level may appeal to you.

4. Master Bedroom Suite-new home today generally offer plans a wedding suite. These suites have often generous closet space, large bathrooms with soaker tubs, whirlpool, large shower and even walk-in closets. These suites usually increase the value of the House and make the home more marketable if you sell in the future.

5. Bonus Rooms (laundry, Play)-one of the most popular trends in todays House plans are dedicated laundries and the renewed popularity of handouts. In fact, in my new home we made the mudroom a combination laundry and storage room. Some house plans offer laundry on the second floor of multi-leveal houses. A word of caution if you choose a second floor laundry. Make sure you insist that some kind of big brains in the unfortunate case installed system there is a washing machine broken pipe.

6. number of bathrooms-toilets average numbers in new homes has steadily increased over the years. The average home in the United States has 2 1/2 bathrooms and the media seems to 3.

7. kitchen-I could write an entire article on this topic, however, the main point is that many House plans have just a basic layout of the kitchen. My suggestion is to find a house you like, and then change the kitchen to your liking. Plenty of shops to supply Home Designer is a new kitchen for free on the basis of the floor plan so you don't leave a layout from a simple kitchen discourage home plan that you really like.

8. floor plans-during the evaluation plan will try to display as your home and how you plan to use different rooms in your daily life. Get a tape measure and measuring rooms in your House to get an idea of how a room 12 ' x 15 ' really is great. Often people have a hard time, displaying the size of a room and later when the House was not happy with the size. I suggest you really spend time on evaluation.

9. Feature-functionality of the new housing plan is really one of the most important aspects for your long-term comfort and the use of the House. If you put the dining room on the other side of the living room, so that it is necessary to bring meals through the living room you will soon find out that it is not very functional. The same applies to the proximity of bathrooms to bedrooms. Once again, I think its important to compare where I currently live on the floor House and think the likes and dislikes.

10. Home site-the site of home sometimes can play a big part in style, floor plan and features. For example, if you have a small site might need over two floors. Or maybe your lot is really Hill and needs a car in the garage. Just make sure when you choose a couple of plans that are evaluated based on the lot as well.

If you get one thing from this article remind, plan, plan, plan, and plan some more. More plan and your new home plans evalulate the happier you will be when you're finally living in your new home.
