Strathmore is a city set in the lovely countryside of Alberta where residents can enjoy all the benefits of the great outdoors as well as the intimacy and identity of a closely knit community while still never sacrificing all of the amenities and services of a big city. Why? Because Calgary, Alberta's biggest city, is just 40 km away.

This small town offers many amenities and services is in its own right, and is well-equipped for those living and working within the town limits. There are three elementary schools and a high school, numerous restaurants and fine dining establishments, and a plethora of other recreational and local services. These local amenities serve to bring the community together and contribute to a strong sense of communal pride that many residents of this small Alberta town feel and are a part of.

There are a variety of employment opportunities here as well, as the oil and gas industry is never far away from any region in Alberta and there are jobs to be had locally in many industries, although agriculture is the primary source of income for most of the people in this city, at least for those who don't commute every day to Calgary.

The city's real estate is a wonderfully varied affair, featuring every type of offering including townhouses, suburban homes, single and multiple-family residents and a large number of homes on the outskirts of town which feature parcels of land where families can raise horses or keep pets.

There are many looking for the open space and peace offered by a country property, and this peaceful town offers many of these. It's a great community to live near, as residents get the best of the small town and the best of the city life.

Lastly, no one in town needs to feel isolated. The city is connected to most of Alberta's biggest highways, which can take whoever wishes to travel them literally anywhere in the province. This is a peaceful, picturesque town, a great place to live for anyone wanting to experience rural Alberta life without giving up their access to the city.
